# Navigating Sri Lanka's 2026 Fuel Quotas and New Prices

## An Update on Sri Lanka's 2026 Fuel Quotas and Prices

Sri Lanka has recently revised its national fuel quotas and prices for 2026 to ensure a steady supply across the island. While there are some changes for private vehicle owners, the updates bring excellent news for the tourism sector and our international guests.

## New Prices and Quotas

The updated pricing structure reflects global market adjustments, but it remains highly competitive for international travelers. Private vehicles still operate on a weekly QR code quota system. However, as a tourist, this quota system will rarely affect your travel plans.

## Unlimited Fuel for Tourist Board Licensed Providers

The most important update for travelers is that **service providers holding a valid Sri Lanka Tourist Board License are now granted unlimited fuel access!**

This means that when you book your tours, safaris, and transfers with registered operators, your journey will be completely uninterrupted. You won't have to worry about fuel lines or weekly limits. Our modern fleet of vehicles is fully fueled and ready to take you down every scenic route and hidden path.

Always ensure your travel provider is officially licensed to guarantee a smooth and limitless adventure across the island.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do tourists need a fuel pass in Sri Lanka?

No. As long as you travel with a service provider registered with the Sri Lanka Tourist Board, their vehicles are granted unlimited fuel.
